Apply to the Power and Energy Group

We encourage you to apply to the ECE department of the University of Illinois. We will be seeking excellent M.S. and Ph.D. students in machines and power electronics. Forms and instructions can be located at http://www.ece.illinois.edu/

The deadline for Spring Semester is September 1st of the previous year. If you seek a Fall admission, the deadline is December 15th of the previous year. We recommend that you send your application well in advance of the deadline.

We also recommend you look at the websites for the Grainger Center for Electric Machinery and Electromechanics (CEME) at http://ceme.ece.illinois.edu/ and Power and Energy Systems at http://energy.ece.illinois.edu/

A group of faculty decides which students will be admitted. The process is very competitive and dependent on the particular students who have applied. All aspects of the applications are taken into consideration. Research assistantships are usually awarded to students selected.
